Terms of use

Last updated: 12 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-12

Simple route planning, with clear limits and no automatic renewal.

About OptiRoute

OptiRoute is a trading name of Great Oaks Tree Services. Contact us at office@greatoakstreeservices.co.uk. These terms cover the planner and account area. You must be at least 18 to create an account or buy paid access, and authorised to act for any business using the account.

The service

Paste or import stop addresses, check their map pins, then calculate an efficient driving order. Routes are designed for cars and light vans. The free tier allows up to 15 stops per route, excluding the start and finish. Free planning does not require an account.

The planner uses map data and public lookup/routing services. It compares estimated driving times; it does not guarantee the shortest possible route or the lowest emissions. It does not account for live traffic, current closures, vehicle height/weight restrictions, delivery time windows or specialist vehicle requirements. A postcode pin may be an approximate area, including a historical location for a retired postcode.

Check locations and road suitability before driving, especially if the lookup falls back to a postcode. Follow road signs, legal restrictions and current conditions. Navigation apps can calculate different roads and times. Use the site and navigation controls only when safely parked.

Accounts

Use a valid email and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for use you authorise through your account. Tell us if you suspect unauthorised access. You can change your password or delete your account in the account area. Paid expiry does not delete the account; it returns to free access.

Paid access, when available

£30 including VAT (£25 plus £5 VAT) buys 12 calendar months of larger-route planning from confirmed payment. It is a one-off payment with no automatic renewal. After expiry, routes of up to 15 stops remain free. Planning larger routes again requires another payment at the price shown at that time.

There is currently no product stop-count cap for paid routes, but file/request sizes and the capacity of routing providers can limit a particular journey. Uploaded imports must be under 200 KB. Excessive calculations are rate-limited; very large routes may take longer or fail. Try the free service with typical addresses before buying.

Payment is processed by Stripe. You can check your order before confirming payment. Access is granted when payment is confirmed. Keep your payment receipt and a saved copy of these terms. The service and support are provided in English.

Online paid checkout is still being configured. The checkout page will show the seller’s full trading address and applicable registration/VAT details before any payment can be taken.

Consumer cancellation rights and refund requests are explained on our cancellation and refunds page. Deleting an account removes remaining paid access; contact us first if you want to exercise a cancellation right or request a refund.

Fair use

Use the service lawfully and provide only data you are entitled to share. Do not try to bypass the paywall, attack the service, resell account access, run bulk automated scraping or interfere with other users. We may restrict abusive use. Where practicable, we will explain the reason and allow a mistake to be corrected.

Availability and responsibility

We aim to provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Map providers, network conditions and maintenance can affect availability. If a paid feature materially fails to work, contact us so we can investigate and apply any remedy you are entitled to. If we discontinue the paid service during your access period, we will refund the unused portion.

We are responsible for loss caused by our breach where the loss is reasonably foreseeable. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights. You remain responsible for the driving decisions you make.

Emissions figures

CO₂e figures are estimates of driving emissions using average UK vehicle factors and a comparison with your original stop order. They are not measured savings, carbon credits or offsets, and do not show the whole environmental impact of the service. Read the calculation method and exclusions.

Changes, complaints and law

We may improve the service and update these terms for future use. We will bring material changes affecting a paid account to your attention. A price change does not cause an extra charge during an existing paid period. Contact us with complaints or requests and include the account email and details of the issue.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK in which they live.
